WCPS Education Foundation Hires New Executive Director
January 28, 2019 (Hagerstown, MD) – The Washington County Public Schools Education Foundation Board today announces Caren Cramer as the newly hired Executive Director, succeeding Christina Williams. Cramer assumes the reins of WCPS Educational Foundation effective Monday January 28, 2019. Williams, the Foundation’s first Executive Director, departs Friday, January 25, 2019, pursuing an opportunity with Leadership Washington County.
“Caren brings professional skills very applicable to this role at a time when the Foundation positions itself for growth,” says Matt Hess, President of the Foundation Board. “We are grateful for Christina’s dedication during her two year term as Executive Director, and we wish her success in her new capacity. Caren will hit the ground running and the Foundation Board looks forward to working with her,” continued Hess.
Cramer joins WCPS Education Foundation bringing experience spanning over 30 years with non-profits large and small, such as the Institute for Patient- and Family-Centered Care (IPFCC), Washington County Museum of Fine Arts (WCMFA) and National Geographic Television & Film (NGT&F). “This is a dream come true opportunity for me and I am buoyed by the support of the Foundation Board as well as my ever-present passion for enhancing and expanding educational opportunities for the constituents of the Washington County Public Schools (WCPS),” says Cramer.
